SGS/Abon doesn't apply I guess New ebay auction and it IS the 17th last time I checked. http://cgi.ebay.com/1883-O-SGS-GRAD...ryZ39465QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Looks like they added a few days until the new policy takes effect. "To give sellers a few weeks to make any needed adjustments, enforcement will begin on October 1st."
With respect to Canadian coins, ICCS is the predominant certification service of choice. They are a reputable company I've had the pleasure of dealing with for many years. Their exclusion as a result of these new eBay rules will damage the hobby north of the border. As such, this policy is misguided and will negatively impact my enjoyment from this pastime. :headbang:
You are right unfortunately but any policy can be changed. I'ms sure this one will over time. I own one ICCS coin a U.S. 1875 20 Cent Piece they graded as XF40. My local dealer, who happens to love 20 Cent Pieces, said it was UNDER GRADED. More in the AU AU53 range. I've never heard a negative comment about ICCS. On the other hand, ebay really doing ANYTHING to regulate coins sales is a plus. Betting they've never heard of ICCS.
