New Domitan dupondius fides

    Hey all new:
    Domitian AE Dupondius. Rome Mint 87 AD. Obverse: IMP CAES DOMIT AVG GERM COS XIII CENS PER P P, Radiate bust right with aegis. Reverse: FIDEI PUBLICAE - S C, Fides standing right with corn ears and basket of fruits. RIC: 534 Rare.

    Other then the old corrosion, it's a nice coin with a great reverse and nice portrait.

    It's very well centered, the legends are legible, and the reverse is charming (you can see the details in the basket of fruit)...I like it!

    Awesome coin ro!

    Domitian's face reminds me of Imhotep in The Mummy before he absorbs the flesh of the people who opened the cursed chest. I like it!

Beautiful black tone over brassy metal!US$ 900.00

    i found out / fides and dupondius with aegis seams to be special

    That's a very nice coin @ro1974; just too bad something ate away at Trajan's portrait.
