Daniel Carr just released a 1964 Morgan. I snapped up 3 high grades.... better get some before they are gone if you are interested!

A Daniel Carr O/S type set would be cool to put together.

    Thanks for the heads-up. I ordered 2.

Maybe later we'll see a proof-like finish too? I'd buy it.

I don't collect Carr but that certainly is an impressive piece.

Considering how well the peace dollars did, I am considering getting some more. Hmm.

Morgans will have same mintage of 1,964 amongst all types as well. Plus the Morgan series is WAY more popular. But the 64d Peace have a lore about them since they were actually struck but all destroyed. I say if in the months or years to come the Morgans don't do better than the Peace's they will be on par in terms of price. If one has the extra cash one should defiantly be getting all they could imo ;)

Yeah. I would have ordered that instead this time, but I got the higher quality one anyway.

Crossing my fingers that mine don't have any "ghosting".

Towards the end of my previous "1964-D" Peace Dollar over-striking I produced some proof-like and matte proof finishes. The Peace design makes for a better matte proof than it does a cameo proof. The Morgan design is the other way around - it looks strange with a matte finish but great as a "DMPL".

So I will probably make some sort of DMPL version a little later on.

This should be in the For Sale forum, right?

dcarr , will the breast feathers be flat on the high grade piece, like the image on your website ??

The D on the reverse is your signature, "Daniel," right? Now add a "C" and you're good to go!

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

I think you mean: add a prominent "COPY" in compliance with the law, and you're still questionable.

No, Mr. Carr did not start the thread, another member did, which is allowed. How would we ever discuss current coins if it wasn't? ;)

Oh boy here we go again.

On topic, some PL and DMPLs would be awesome. Or really blow everyone away with a RP
