I almost grabbed a centennial half dollar on eBay last week. I'm in Auburn, by the way. If you're ever up here let me know.

My brother in law lives 1/2way up Goff Hill and Mother in law's at Odd Fellows Nursing home. I'm a 1/2 hours east of you. Do you ever get coins at that strip mall by Gipper's?

I'm right in New Auburn. Cool. I can't think about the strip mall... I know republic jewlery is up the road but I can't think of which store in the mall would have coins. maybe, I'm just blanking on the name.

These are getting quite pricey these days. Like most of the old commemorative. Hard to find a good deal one.

I think these Bicentennials are a nice token, They are cheaply made but still nice.
I also like to collect the Toivo Johnson pieces from 1970.
At least these were made in Silver and Bronze.

Don't worry about the '09 VDB. I have one already! Good to know about that- I'm kind of out of the loop. About Republic- I don't spend much time there, anyway. I spend time here, and ebay, forumancientcoins, a couple of other sites.

I agree. Thought I might get one, I couldn't celebrate because this stupid virus. Cool to see you guys are in Maine. I don't seem to meet any people from Maine who collect like us. @Mainebill is a member here who is living in the augusta(?) area. Can't think of a single other.

I actually don’t have either of the main commemoratives I should have the York county even though it’s a super boring design as I live there. Looking for a hi grade with over the top toning though for myself. I like earlier stuff but love color too
