This is a little off topic, but I do have a question about grading. I have only had 2 coins graded. one an MS61 and the other a Details. Is there a process that if a coin is going to be graded less than, say, MS 63, that I could request to not slab it. I know that I would have to pay for the grading or whatever the standard fee(s) are, I was new when I had them graded by the local store that I bought them from, and he thought they would both be graded MS61. I was so new, I had no idea what having the coins graded would mean, especially a details graded or no grade.

Yes you can request a minimum grade and anything below that would return raw.
This might be useful for dealers in bulk submissions (especially if they get discounts for the coins that don't meet the minimum) but I don't see much reason to do this for a collector submission (you will pay the fee regardless so why not have the coin return in a slab-you can always crack it later if you want it raw again).
