Just finished imaging some of the better pieces from the recent Dix Noonan Webb auction that arrived today. The S.A. Penny is a super low mintage (11,000) and the two German 1/2 Marks are a low mintage MM. Would love input on the grades of the better pieces. Finally, any ID help in the damaged French coin would be appreciated. Now, to the coins!!!
Hi , I can perhaps help you to identify your French coin but I will need the weight and diameter please.
Based on what remains of the lettering here are some distinct possibilities regarding the identification of that French coin. https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces33603.html https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces51570.html
Thanks! I think it’s the first one because of the “sit nomen” I can identify. My sons name is Henry, so it’s a keeper!
Indeed It is this one I think https://www.cgb.fr/navarre-bearn-he...art-decu-de-navarre-tb-ttb-,bfe_249447,a.html It is a French database so the estimate is in euros , will say considering the grading and market that it is around 30 usd .
