This came up on MA-Shops and looked like a nice example for a very good price, so I grabbed it. It will make a nice addition to my historical figures on coins collection.

Please post your coins of Brutus.

Marcus Junius Brutus (54 BC). AR denarius (4.04 g). Rome. Head of Libertas right / The consul Lucius Junius Brutus walking left between two lictors, carrying axes over their shoulders, and preceded by an accensus; BRVTVS in exergue. Crawford 433/1. Sydenham 906.

Fantastic! Good thing you saw it first. Also good for you, I haven't been looking since we are in the middle of a move. It would be mine otherwise. Congratulations @Orfew

Lovely coin! I don't have a Brutus but would have been very happy with that one.

I like that coin. I even considered one or two like that one but there is a lot of competition for them.

Thank you very much. I have also. Although the pics do a great job representing the scratches, in-hand you really do not notice them. Just the cool history behind all THREE characters involved... Brutus, Ahala, Brutus is just interesting!

My example of the OP coin, purchased long long ago. One of the first RR coins I ever bought actually, well before I decided to focus on them. Not a coin I would buy now, because of the way BRVTVS is chopped off, but I've never found one I liked well enough to upgrade to either:

Then, you bought well if you have not found one to replace! Looks great!
