    Just picked up this AV 4 Escudos 1855-MB Lima Mint/ Peru:)

    Seems that many of the coins struck by newly independent (Spanish Colonial) Countries had those problems:( with their minting techiques. But, then Spanish coinage from the New World mints where not much better. Esp. the God awfull cobs....
