    I'm seeing indications at 12,2,6,& 10 o'clock obverse and at 12 & 6 on the reverse.

Okay I can't see any doubling on the obverse.
As for the reverse I think I can see doubling on the second "S" in states, and maybe the "O" in Of, but I cannot really tell, I don't think it is anything special, I don't think it is a doubled die.

Nice coin T$. I'm a bit surprised this coin got the FB grade because those top bands appear to be a bit mushed together...but, I guess I'm wrong.

Are you sure you're not just seeing the little plastic nubs that hold the coin in the old rattler slabs???

Fair enough, maybe the pictures are just deceptive. What made me think it wasn't is the area I circled in red:

sorry, didn't know how to zoom pics here, but with the link you provided, i see what you're talking about... just not sure it's been in a bezel before as i'd think the coin would be a bit more beat up if it had been. Unless a bezel had been put on and then the coin was stored and never used?? Not sure. Seems like the marks could have been made by other coins when stacked or in a bag too??

The funny thing about it is that if it weren't in a rattler we couldn't have this discussion as the new PCGS slabs would have all of that hidden behind the clear gasket!!! the rattlers are so cool.

In any event, I think it's a nice coin :kewl:

Hey, I found a way to save face on my 1 point overgrade:D

That looks like a rattler tag to me, thus it was undergraded by a full point, lol.;)

    Nice coin.

Oh it is a great coin for certain. The reason I don't believe the markings on the rim areas are from "stacking" is simply all four obverse marked areas are directly opposite rim to rim, and if you look at the reverse from the (E) of states to (O) the marked area seems to resemble a clamp indentation. Maybe it's a photo shadow. I can't say for certain.
