Hello, i'm new and I was looking to buy a new 5 euro coin with the blue polymer ring. I looked on ebay and they are 40-50 USD! I was shocked. Why is it so expensive? P.S. I don't know what place to put this so I put it in Coin Chat.
All 5 euro coins are commemoratives made to sell to collectors at an inflated price, the polymer ring pieces are popular and have a "following" which means higher demand and hence an even higher price.
