Hi, upon Hunting rolls, I found a few of these errors in the same roll, both errors are on the same coin along with an additional error not shown on the obverse. I can't find anything about this on the intraweb. any value? some of the chips are larger than shown

    1. The hat on the bird? It looks like a die chip

Yes the hat, Turns out, from the 10 brinks bank rolls I searched I found 5 rolls- (almost 200 Zitkala quarters) with this error along with the chip on the dress and a horn on Washington's face. I feel like that is a significant number of consecutive errors to find all on the same coin being that I'm fairly new at roll hunting. Is this a common find?

I did just now see on eBay someone has something similar, however much smaller chips

Circulation coin strikes spill out of the press into giant bags for distribution, so they tend to come from the same pair of dies.

Die chips often progress. They start tiny and additional bits continue to break off and the chip grows.

it is noticeable with the naked eye, about half of them have this, and each that does have it also has the other two die chips on the reverse,

Value on these will depend on the progression of the IDB's and how many are available. So, far I would consider the IDB's minor. Keep them in a roll or a flip and follow the new finds to figure out what stage you have.

Die chips are extremely common and are rarely worth anything outside of marking the die and the die stage. And the more infinitesimal, the more worthless. Some will fetch a premium, the overwhelming majority won’t. That’s just the way it is. These dies break up, that’s just normal and expected. In fact, they can detract from the value, by obscuring the design. Still many collect them because they’re just cool to find. Don’t confuse that with the value in the market, there’s little to no relationship, there.

Die Chips are just a sign of a worn die.
Nothing really major and shouldn't have any kind of premium.
Your quarter is worth just 25 Cents
