a paltry mintage of 14,640. I had been bidding on well circulated examples, and getting clobbered every time. I almost never buy MS61-62 coins because they are usually so beat up, but I knew the seller pretty well (great eye for quality) and trusted his description; when the coin arrived I was ready for anything, but relieved to see that it really is nice looking. My first impression was that it was way undergraded and should have been a 63. Your AU58 is a stellar coin and is exactly what I was looking for but alas never able to find.
Oh I wish I had it back. I was broke and my ex was just going through money and being so high maintenance time wise I wasn’t making enough money either cause I had not enough time to work. I sold half a dozen coins from my own collection that got me in decent shape financially again for then. But every one I’ve regretted selling and haven’t been able to find comparable at any price
I'm sorry to hear that. Some coins are nearly impossible to replace, but it's good to know they are a store of value in case of emergency.
