Days like today remind me how much I miss the snappy comments and predictions of Krispy and Elaine...
Yeah, the good old days. I remember buying my first ASE's for around $9.00 a piece. And a buck of that was the premium. Perhaps we're headed back to the "good old days"
Elaine gave us a tip on the uncirculated 2008-W $10 AGE (1/4 oz) before it sold out. I finally listened and bought 12 and PCGS graded 2 of the 4 sent in as MS70. I thanked her many times...:thumb: .
Silver was around $4 a little more than a decade ago. Bottom line is that it's WAY overpriced. It's all about keeping up with the Jones, and a bit of hysteria. Just my opinion.
I'm glad I was out for the most part this week. I read that this was the biggest drop in gold since 1980... I am not as optimistic (or maybe as delusional) as some folks I hear talking about this market... You won't find me backing my truck up anywhere right now... I know a LOT of people who got stuck with large quantities in the early 80's... Not everyone is going to win.
I payed off my car about 3 months ago.. so hopefully it keeps falling and i'll just buy my car payments worth every month
Ahhhh...there you are! I knew if I sent up "the signal" you would respond. Last I heard, Elaine was heading to the Philippines...for some reason. Apparently, she went to the part that doesn't have the internet. Dunno how she got all her gold and silver out of the country, either. Perhaps she buried it somewhere in Central Park before she left.
Picked up another 40 ozs this morning. Now, I'm almost out of cash. I've never been so illiquid since getting out of college. Making me a little nervous. I'd done buying for now. Will revisit the situation later this year/early next year. I have a feeling bullion will be attractively priced even then.
@Yakpoo: Then again, she often came off as a gold digger, so if you say there's gold in Central Park, she's probably there with a shovel already looking for it. LOL! Nice to hear from you to Yakpoo!
It's an investment to some people. Edited Language. Forum rules do not allow **** or other symbols in place of understood profanity.. Don't be so obsessed with your own personal situation that you fail to comprehend anyone else's.
Sage is good for purification... Thyme-ing is good for investments and this is not a time for panicked buying.
