the only time i EVER did a pre-order was back when i was a video (vcr tape) wholesaler to stores, i pre-ordered 105 copies of et..the extra terretrial...we (video dealers and shops) were told by paramount that no one would be allowed to sell for less than 24.99 and we had to preorder a min of 300 copies to get in on the deal to get em for 14.95 (wholesale price) well me and 2 other distributors went in on a deal for 300..we did not pay till a week before they arrived, but we got them and were told not to sell them until nov 30th (under penalty of lawsuit and fines and being banned from ever buying from them) that was when videos had release dates after hbo and showtime and such, well anyways, the week before thanksgiving, pathmark and grand union did a promotion that if you bought a 10 pound or larger turkey, you could buy up to 5 copies of the movie for 9.99, which was 5.00 per copy less than what we as wholesalers paid, good luck getting our 24.99, we took a beating, i remember selling them for 5.00 each then at christmas for 2,00 each, and these had a suggested retail of 49.99 with a min sell price of 24.99...yup we gor screwed...never ever again will i ever do a pre-order for anything..and that was 34 years ago, (or so, a bit hazy on dates, lol)lol

I ordered a product a while back and was told that if I liked it, they would send me another set. I guess I didn't understand it, because they charged my credit card for another order. I called them and was told that I was to return the product within 30 days and if it wasn't they would send me some more of the product. I went to my credit union and they did a charge back and they told the CU employee for me to keep the product. I tossed it. (Not ebay. Never had a problem purchasing from them. Most purchases are less the $50.)

I did the same thing. I’m not happy.

  6. You can check your state's consumer protection laws. In a case I had, the judge ruled against me finding a case that stated an out of state seller had to have more than than one internet transaction in Ohio to prove under than code. (Which was nonsense). Under the code in Ohio, there was 93 pages of citations with approximately 25 case summaries per page.
