I just had a seller ship me a coin in a number 10 envelope. Coin obviously broke through and was gone. eBay refunded my money but let the seller off the hook. Then they took the listing down so I could not give him an honest rating. Strange because it looks like they are siding with the seller.
I think the Seller made an error and clicked the wrong response for returns. I have always wondered why any seller would take a double loss by letting the buyer keep the item but I can see if the return shipping was a lot... OP is doing the right thing though. But, the Seller should state 'Cleaned' when he re-lists.
DO the right thing remember at the end of the day you still have to live with yourself. KEEP A CLEAR HEAD.
I agree... do not bring that kind of karma into your collection. I was given an extra silver bar and wasn't charged.... i made sure paid it the next visit to the LCS. Bad juju for the stack.
