I am new to coin collecting and this week purchased several coin rolls from the bank. New Washington quarters yielded 2 mint state West Point quarters in one roll! I never find anything but am happy for this find!

I just started last year with my Garrett At Pro but being a beginner I’m having a lil difficult with my settings. There is just to much chatter most of the time and I’m not sure how to adjust my setting based on what my target will be or why there is so much chatter could my plugs be loose? But cool does your spouse share your enthusiasm for your hobbies?

To reduce chatter on your detector you must adjust the sensitivity level. Lower it.

My wife enjoys my coin collecting, metal detecting and fishing.. But we enjoy our orchid hobby together. We have close to 50 orchids

Welcome aboard The CT Train. I was going to mention your nails, but since you are a Detectorist, I'll let it slide. ;)
    Nice finds. :)

Success is a blend of the scale of your activity, knowing what to look for, and a bit of good luck. Location...location...location. Finding varieties can largely depend on release points of subject coins, availability of certain mint productions reaching your area (here in the East, getting Denver and San Fran minted coins are more difficult), and proximity to airports and other cross-points where people congregate and spend (NYC, Orlando, etc.). But while challenging, the search is what makes hunting so much fun and interesting. Nobody will contest that finding something cool isn't great either, but the story that goes along with that can be sometimes more incredible. Enjoy the hunt!!

    John Skelton Morgan man!

The only problem I see with metal detecting is that's all you get -- metal! Let me know when they can detect dollars, then I'll get a detector!

Oh, you want a paper detector. THAT would be hours of fun.
