In one transaction this morning I received a 1982 25c and a 1964 5c in change. Value= at least 30cents!
82 Ps are actually worth something in MS65 grade or higher. However, with wear, it is worth 25 cents.

Congrats, you can join the 1965-1998 quarter collection thread now. https://www.cointalk.com/threads/1965-1998-clad-quarters-share-us-your-collection-and-why.317630/
Okay, I just wanted to make sure you were aware that unless your coins are of really high grade, you're not going to get more than face value for them. If you like collecting them, have at it, but I don't want you to think you're going to profit from pulling regular circulated coins from change.
Well once again in less than a dozen posts on this site I have been everything from insulted to asked to start drinking. From this point forward I will simply lurk around and won't comment or exchange ideas anymore
I'm sorry for your experiences on coin talk. Very cute dog. How can you not loves those. Thanks for sharing
I read each reply to you on this thread and saw some politely inquisitive questions and suggestions. Conveying nuance is difficult when you are also trying to be concise. But I see nothing in this thread that would offend me if directed my way. Pocket change is a fun share, so expect other folks to respond in a fun manner, too. Between fun and inquisitive I think these posts are pretty good.
I certainly didn't ask you to start drinking and I hope you didn't feel insulted. I just wanted to make sure you knew that the values in the blue book are way over priced and I didn't want to give you false hopes... I hope you do stick around; you'll learn a lot.
I'm sorry for posting that as a reply to you; however check my other threads where green86 commented on an answer I offered to another newbie asking him to feel the lines as I am almost legally blind and am forced to use my other senses along with high powered loupes and advice to understand my coins. see this thread in Introductions by Wizard Hello I'm a new member have some coins that I was wondering if they are errors Discussion in 'Introductions' started by Wizard, Yesterday at 6:06 PM. Sorry for venting in the wrong place as I meant no disrespect to you or anyone else offering genuine help.
Understandable. Some folks are a little too quick to make jokes and pick on others. I have a friend who is blind and collects coins. I think you might enjoy reading his website and reaching out to him: http://blindcoincollector.com/
