Netflix has announced that season 3 of "Roman Empire: Reign of Blood" will be about Caligula. In past seasons they have covered Commodus and Julius Caesar. The new season is set to begin streaming on 5 April 2019.
Didn't know about this series. I already have Netflix, so I'll check it out. Thanks for the heads-up.
I've seen many of these on PBS over the years, are they any better than PBS versions? I've had netflix for years, I just never got around to watching the Roman Empire series.
I didn't even know Netflix had these...looks like I know what I will be watching for the near future. Thanks!
I've seen the other two series recommended in my Netflix feed but never watched them because they look fairly sensationalistic. Suetonius would've loved Netflix.
I watched the first episode of season 1 - Not a show to watch when the kids are awake! I'm still confused why, for a show purporting to be more fact than drama, they still insisted on copying Gladiator in portraying Marcus Aurelius as a walking fossil and Commodus as a pampered man-child in a time when he actually was a child?
I saw both their productions - Commodus and J. Caesar - pretty entertaining , just don't let the historical inaccuracies aggravate you.
