    As 97, Æ 10.84 g. Laureate head r. Rev. Fortuna standing l. holing rudder and cornucopiae. C 68. BMC 130. RIC 83. CBN 116.

    The engravers don't seem to have ever tried to make him look attractive. What a nose! This one was probably caught up in a farm implement and even it did not improve his schnazolla.

    Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I be holding this dupondius so I think it is beautiful.

    Being fourree does nothing for overall beauty but the portrait work here was not bad.

    Actually, I got that in a lot of uncleaned coins a few years back. I don't understand what's not to like.

    More Nerva (and I thought his coins were somewhat rare)...

    COS IIII is rarer than most, as it was only struck in january 98 AD.
