I do not see any doubling. Try looking at different angles with different light
brightness. Sometime the reflection from the field onto the edge of the lettering will give of the effect of doubling.

 

No Doubling.. Just worth 1 Cent

 

I heard the copper pennies are worth 2 and half cents.

And also if u look inside the g the part that turns in its two
