Hey There Guys! I just got a coin in the mix with a lot of world coins I purchased. I know absolutely nothing about ancient coins. I don't collect them and I have none in my collection, so any help would be greatly appreciated. This coin weighs 2.72 grams and it is magnetic, but I don't see the word "copy" anywhere. I think I can make out the word "Pontius", but not sure if that is THE "Pontius". What I am looking at here?
The ring around the edge of the coin as well as the bubbles are indicators that it was not struck but pressed.
It's about a gram too light for this type, most I see on archives are 3.5 and up. There also appears to be a casting seam along the edges and it shouldn't be magnetic.
