SO, I'm pretty versed in "modern" Foreign Coins, but I've come across one that I cannot identify, which is rare. Obverse - weird Square and Circle - Letters GK. at top and L at Bottom Reverse - .HISPAN. ET.IND.REX.M.4R.F. Please help with Identification!!
Looks like a copy of a Spanish 4 Reales but it isn't a coin that I know of. I found a thread on another forum that has one similar to yours and it was called a button. https://www.coincommunity.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=98255
Well, that helps a little! LOL! The reverse is the same, but there are major differences in the Obverse, and it is obvious that mine doesn't have a "Button Loop." Still... that is the FIRST that I've seen one remotely like it! So, I guess a button is a possibility, but it has no evidence of use as one. Thanks!
Or a token of some sort. The one in the link I posted could've been altered after the fact to make it a button. I'm fairly confident that yours is not a coin though
Well, I appreciate everyone's help. I believe it is a token of some sort, maybe with initials at the top? Oh Well, its a fun thing to keep. Thanks!
