Sorry for the delay. Graded as MS64 :-( I still think it's a nice looking coin and apparently so do you folks. Thanks everyone for the input. So it looks like this one would 'bean'. It looks better in hand too.
I think it's hologram damage - hence the lower grade! The hologram is definitely scratched, and perhaps cleaned as well.
I'm surprised by that grade. I would have said 65 with shot at 66. I'm thinking the luster is "dull" if it only got a 64 or the contact marks on the coin cannot be seen properly in the pictures posted.
Cheek is clean. Chatter in open field are bag "tracks" from the edges of another coin. These are considered less "distracting" than scratches and gouges. gorgeous coin. I'm Guessing 66+
I'd be very very tempted to crack it out and try for a 65 especially as it's a big price jump from 64-65
Anyone think this would gold bean? Just wondering - I see CAC is not accepting new members and the nearest authorized submitter is over an hour away.
It's got a good a chance as any I'd talk to @geekpryde he sends a lot of coins to cac for me and others here me I'd try for a 65 and then a green bean but.. Is worth whatever try's you want if youvpaid 64 money for it
I'm leaning towards re-grade or reconsideration. Not sure for a re-grade if the graders are aware of the current grade or not. They obviously are for a reconsideration as the coin stays in the holder. Are they going to be willing to admit a mistake - I don't know. Sounds like it's time for a re-grade thread!
I can spell alright most of the time my grammar etc ain't no good whatsoever neither is my typing I'm good at fixing anything and working with my hands but as far as words I'm not all to great
