I am looking for EXAMPLES of South Korean die varieties. Basically, just an IMAGE of one of them to add to my webpage on Korean coins. If you are familiar with the South Korean section of the Krause Catalog of World Coins, you will notice that the Catalog mentions die varieties for the 100 Won coin, KM-9 (1974, 1975) and the 50 Won coin, KM-34 (1983 and later). They also have a separate catalog identifier for varieties of 10 Won coins for years 1991, 1997, 1998, 1999, and 2000, giving them the catalog number KM-33.2. I have yet to be convinced that there are "thicker numeral" varieties of these dated coins, or as the 39th edition says, "Thicker value below date". Maybe I just haven't come upon them? See below to judge for yourself. The Korean DaeGwangSa Catalog doesn't even mention varieties. By doing some internet searches, I have discovered some die varieties that Korean numismatists claim, but that Krause does not identify. One is a "wide date" versus a "narrow date" (or is this "large and small date" thing?) for the 1969 5 Won coin. See below. Also, I've seen claims of varieties of the 1980 100 Won coin. The claim is the depth of strike around Admiral Yi's eyes and hat-band. See below. If you have come across any of these varieties, or know where I can access information about them, please let me know! Thanks.
