They (the minters or Mint workers) neither had the knowledge, experience or time to really quality control most of the coins that they minted. It was a very slow, time consuming and tedious process to make the Dies, mold, roll or hammer out the planchets and produce coins with the primitive tools and equipment that they had to work with!</p><p><br /></p><p>Frank[/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
