I picked this up the other day because it goes along with my love token collection. it is the same size as a $1 type 1 gold piece. No idea what it is made out of but it isn't gold. One person I know believes it was used to help mount gold commemorative dollars into spoons. Not sure if there's any truth behind that. But figured I would ask the community.
