Welcome Epic18s - You have some beautiful gold coins :thumb: Welcome to coin talk. The grading company is good for authenification and that would be important if you were ever to sell them. If just for storage, you can buy your own slabs (much less money) to keep them from getting damaged. The coin show will be a great opportunity to talk with some of the grading companies. I believe that you may even be able to get them graded there.?. Keep the coins in a very safe place as those will be a target for theft by anyone who knows about them that might do something like that. We have people in our home all the time as older adults and it's still amazes me when something turns up missing that you know was taken at some point. Just be carefull as people are not always as honest as you think they are. Good Luck and enjoy the show and your coins... Darryl
Thank you for the complements, one more question. As I don't have any slabs or special sleeves for these coins what is the best way to transport them? I would not want them getting marked up in some pouch. Would maybe baseball card sleeves do? Bare with me as I am new at this. Right now all of my coins are in a padded jewelry box which isn't the easiest to carry around. Thanks.
For what you are going to pay to have them graded you should drive to your nearest coin dealer - call first - and tell them what you have and that you need Air-tites for them. They are about $1.40 a piece at a coin shop - call first to make sure they have the sizes you need. 34mm for the $20, 21.6mm for the $5, 27mm for the $10 - I wouldn't go any other way. Good Luck
