I was looking through my dads old large cents and half cents and stumbled upon this Flowing hair large cent “type 4” ( I believe ). It’s really worn and you can’t you see much detail including the date But I was wondering if anyone could find out which one it is? ( as in variety I think ) Just curious to finding out the mintage, and year. Any help is appreciated thank you
The white background caused the coin image to be too dark. Can you re-image it on a dark, non-reflective background?
Specifically the(DOLL)AR ____ area in case it happens to be a head of (93) which is unlikely, but would be the point of greatest interest. I'm unfamiliar with the Identification of Type Four. But I can tell you it should have enough detail to be identifiable without the date or lowest curl. This response is made without looking at the Reverse yet. Just looked. Reverse X of 1794. Six Obverses to check. Last one of course. S-54 Early Obverse die state (Noyes A) before the crack from rim to hair below Cap.
Here’s two pictures in the dark with the brightness turned down a bit. Should I take more pics of the rim? Hope this helps!
