Hey thanks for reading i have recently Acquired an odd Quarter in some Recent change from my local corner store. It sounded different then the rest of the change so i separated it and decided to take some photo's of it. After some Research i found out that there are different version's of the 1964 Quarter?? I would like to know if this quarter is even authentic. It feels too clean to have been in Circulation for very long. Any info would be much appreciated.

It appears to be an impaired proof to me.

Welcome to CT. It is a very nice example of the last of the silver quarters minted. It will appear and sound different than other quarters minted after 1964. Put it in a flip and hang on to it.

Great find - some kid may have taken that out of Grandpa's collection and spent it.
