    Hi everyone,

I came across this dime a while back and figured it would be a great time to share it here, especially since I'm just starting out on my learning journey with coin errors.

I'm not entirely sure what to make of this one. Initially, I thought it might just be environmental damage or corrosion, but the texture doesn't seem right for that. On the obverse, there is a distinct blob of raised metal right at Roosevelt's chin. On the reverse, there also appears to be extra metal along the center torch.

Under magnification, it looks like a 1999-P.

Is this a die break of some sort, or am I looking at something else? I would welcome any advice, thoughts, or insights you might have! If additional or clearer photos are needed to help identify it, just let me know.

Thanks in advance for your time and help!

Your Dime shows corrosion on both sides. It was affected by long term exposure to some harsh chemical.
