They are holding honorary shields and spears. Also pictured are a ladle and lituus. This would place the coins to at least 2CE when Lucius died, followed by his brother in 4CE.</p><p><br /></p><p>These coins could have been brought to England by troops under the rule of Claudius (at earliest 43 CE).</p><p><br /></p><p>That said, one of the coins looks to be a radiate head, placing it in the third century CE.</p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p>guy[/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
