Return. Was this EBay? Contact the seller, contact EBay this is a fraud. Not a 66, and not $400. This is a $50 coin.

Frauds not the right word if it was just sold as is without making misleading statements. But there is a reason why it's still in that slab and hasn't been put in a first tier slab

VAM 52 (if it is) isn't a premium added VAM. And 52 is classified as an r4 not r5, like that matters though. And the grade isn't close to 66. Did you buy this from SilverTrades on ProxiBid?

No idea what their return policy is, but if you can respectably get out of this deal, do it.

No. A lot of companies on ProxiBid are fine. SilverTrades however, almost all of his slabbed stuff is basement slabbed overgraded and his raw stuff is photographed with price guide prices for grades way above what the coin would grade at. When you see that run. Unfortunately though you have no way of returning the coin aside doing a chargeback on your credit card but that can be tricky. Just eat it and learn how to spot shady sellers.

I'd grade it at around ms60. If you paid $400 for it, then I don't know what to tell you because it's around a $50 coin. Try to get your money back if you can.

Thanks a lot. Thanks for the info. Yes like you say i do have to swallow this one. Lesson learn. I usually just get raw or if something slab it has to be pcgs or ngc. Its a lot easier when you can actually get info off the certification number and get a value price.

    Will Thanks everyone for looking

Ouch. Not much left to say. Return it if you can, I guess. It looks like an average uncirculated 02-O. Stick to reputable grading services and avoid shady sellers that have lots of crap like this. If those sellers have good slabs, they don't deserve your money unless you can actually rip them.

Vams are fun and interesting, but a good camera close up really helps. It is not above 64 as a reach. Here is the VamWorld site with it. Compare the lobe as well as die wear as the lobe changes during prolonged striking. Also should match up the small lines they show. It is easier to get refund if it is NOT really that VAM as indicated. Too small for me to see :) Jim

This coin IMHO is MS64. Strike is weak but common for O Mints. This is a common coin and sells in auctions for $60-110 for NGC or PCGS Slabbed Coins. If you can return it I would. My advice is always research coins before you offer to purchase. You can always find people to relieve you from your money :)

Those photos make a huge difference! Certainly a beautiful looking Morgan!!

Don't kick yourself over this, while probably not a $400 coin, we all overpay sometimes, and other times get total steals! It all evens out in the end!

I would try to return ASAP while they still allow you too and spend your money and a real $400 coin for your collection!
