As you can see, the reverse is different from the 3" medal, it has the Gobrecht eagle on it . Euenetos was commissioned to make the decadrachm, a silver piece of ten-drachms to commemorate the Syracusan victory over the invading Athenian forces about 400 BC. The original coins were presented to warriors and others who had a part in the victory and later to winners in athletic contests.</font></font></p><p><font face="Arial"><font size="2">The obverse of this medal depicts the victorious chariot quadriga with the driver receiving his award garland.
