I got a flyer in the mail offering a single Gold American Eagle oz coin for $1855 each. Only 1 per customer. Not stating condition or year. This "once in a lifetime " deal also mentions "special arrangement packages " starting at $25000. I'm tending to believe that this is just a come on. Anyone buy from them?
Didn't you already pose this question in the tread you started on JUN 9th? https://www.cointalk.com/threads/national-coin-and-bullion-reserve.397296/#post-8383882
Yeah, but he didn't mention the offer. A few years ago I saw an advertisement in the weekly ads flyers about some company offering 1/10 oz AGEs for $110 (which was below melt at the time). I played along and called...minimum order 5 coins, max order 10 coins. I told them I wanted 10. Then the hard-sell started...we have a much better offer, graded and encapsulated coins which will skyrocket in value. I just held firm and said I wanted the 10 coins they advertised. After some time, they agreed. End of story, they sent the 10 1/10 oz AGEs and I took 9 of them into a coin shop and sold them for more than my purchase price, so I got to keep one free. I have gotten some mailings from them, but I just throw them away. Disclaimer - This was my experience, the OP is warned Caveat Emptor
