Has anyone here received the Carson City Morgan Collection letter yet? They want about $250.00 for the complete Tribute Proof collection. You get all 13 years of the CC Morgan plus a 1900 "O" over "CC" Morgan. Not sure if it is a good investment....I always think that NCM is high for what they are asking,..thoughts?

They are useless base metal clad in approximately 4 cents worth of silver apiece. There is nothing related to them which could be considered an "investment."

Please re-read what it is that you get for $250. Carefully.

Take that letter and burn it. Take any other mailings you get from them and burn them unopened. Get off their email list. If they call you, tell them never to call again.

    Did I miss anything?

    From their website...

About 2% of all Morgans were minted at Carson City. Now consider the many millions of Morgans lost to wartime meltdowns and silver profiteers. It’s no wonder that the value of any surviving Morgans, and especially those minted at Carson City, has increased dramatically. In fact, the rarest ones have sold for over $881,000! Now, you can reserve your own Complete “CC” Morgan Silver Dollar Tribute Proof Set. It’s a complete date set of U.S. Gov’t “CC” Morgan Silver Dollars recreated as privately minted non-monetary tribute proofs, each clad in 71 mg .999 Pure Silver Clad tribute proofs, each with the magic “CC” mint mark clearly visible on the reverse.

Now, during this special release, this spectacular .999 Pure Silver clad complete Carson City Tribute Proof Collection can be yours for just $247.80 Plus, you’ll also receive a tribute proof of the unusual 1900 “O” over “CC” Morgan!

As a special bonus with your order, receive a classic cherry finish wood collector’s case to house and protect your set, a $49.95 value, FREE!

    $0.046 according to today's spot price :D
So let's say you get 13 coins.
    You get $0.598 ~ $0.60 in silver.
Base metal is worth melt (aka, nothing).
    Box is worth MAX $10.

You spend $250 plus who knows how much shipping for $10.60 MAX worth of materials.

These guys sure know how to rip folks off!

You do realize Mr. Carr has "designed" for the "National Collector's Mint" as well, right?
