    Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone was familiar with this City Bank note or if anyone had a Tennessee bank note book where they can look this up. The only one I have seen sold on Heritage and it was in Fine condition (it had no signatures remainder like mine). I have seen a few $5 and $10 bills of this same bank. But I have never seen any $50’s other than the one on Heritage.

Your best bet is Haxby's Standard Catalog of United States Obsolete Bank Notes. I believe Tennessee is in Vol. 4. It's not a cheap set of books, but pretty comprehensive. If you live in a major city you might find it in your library. Or you might be able to get it through an interlibrary loan.

It's Haxby #G10a. According to Haxby most of the City Bank notes appear to be remainders, and that is all that is listed for this note.
