<p>
Picked up these 3 coins raw at the ANA with the 1632 Taler standing out as extraordinary in terms of sharpness of strike, luster, pristine fields, and overall eye appeal. I have the other MS-66s for the two varieties DAV-3338 and 3338B. While I have never seen an MS-67 Taler in hand, this one was clearly a better specimen than both MS-66s, having a pristine, yet different look, so I took the chance. I feel accomplished in the sense that while not being an expert grader/numismatist, my ability to identify such pieces has improved. I guess that the more coins one handles, the better the output - technical grade and eye appeal.</p><p><br /></p><p>I will image all three coins (Apologies for the iphone quality - please don't beat me up as it will be taken care of), yet thought I would share.</p><p><br /></p><p><img src="http://i324.photobucket.com/albums/k353/Zohar444/IMG_9591.png" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /></p><p><br /></p><p>These are preliminary images of the 3 coins:</p><p><br /></p><p>1707 Salzburg 1/2 Taler Taler - <a href="https://coins.www.collectors-society.com/WCM/CoinView.aspx?sc=389842" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="https://coins.www.collectors-society.com/WCM/CoinView.aspx?sc=389842" rel="nofollow">https://coins.www.collectors-society.com/WCM/CoinView.aspx?sc=389842</a></p><p><br /></p><p>1765 Maria Theresia Burgau Gunzburg Mint Taler <a href="https://coins.www.collectors-society.com/WCM/CoinView.aspx?sc=389843" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="https://coins.www.collectors-society.com/WCM/CoinView.aspx?sc=389843" rel="nofollow">https://coins.www.collectors-society.com/WCM/CoinView.aspx?sc=389843</a></p><p><br /></p><p>1632 Taler (along with the other two I own in my core collection)</p><p><br /></p><p><img src="http://i324.photobucket.com/albums/k353/Zohar444/IMG_9671.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /></p><p><br /></p><p><img src="http://i324.photobucket.com/albums/k353/Zohar444/313d48ac-95b0-41bc-bc03-414a9ec7fc59.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /></p><p><br /></p><p><img src="http://i324.photobucket.com/albums/k353/Zohar444/IMG_9747.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /></p><p>One of my others for the type - imaged by brg5658</p><p><br /></p><p><img src="http://i324.photobucket.com/albums/k353/Zohar444/1632_Austria_Taler_NGC_MS66_gray_label_composite.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" />
</p><p><br /></p>
