I don't know. To me it looks like that "Genuine Windows" sticker on the MS box, or the "Works with icon I think I'll pass...
I'd have to say that it put one on my face too. That cracked me up when I saw that on Vipers logo! That is classic. Hey, do you like my haircut... I like it, how about you? Do you like my new car, I think its sweet, how about you? So, I think Im a stud, how about you? Yep, thats my Harley... Do you like it?
Better yet, Ruben should make the CAC sticker his avatar. I think we are all tired of seeing him sitting on his couch.
You're blowing it out of proportion now. lol It isn't intended to adjust or "fix" anything. The sticker just implies that someone agrees with it. So it's like you're saying you agree that Vista is certified for Windows.
if you haven't been there, you need to go... Anyway - I'm not on the couch anymore. I'm testifying now in Washington DC... Ruben
Are the TPGs scamming people when they charge for grading a coin? Is UL scamming people when they charge for their testing and opinion? Do your lawyers scam you when they provide their opinions to you? Can't offering an educated opinion be valuable (i.e. sold)? Or is the CAC otherwise unique and your ire justified? Some food for thought...Mike
Are you familiar with the term "Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt" I'd have to start pointing out books written on this issue but there is a tipping point at which someone uses their expertises to create an artificial and psychological response in crowds and individuals which is no longer proportional to the issue being evaluated. At that point, the expert, whether it is your Doctor, a Pharm Rep, a lawyer, or your mother, is no longer providing a useful service but is now acting abusively. Ruben
There is no need to partonize me, Ruben. To assume that it's somehow wrong for others to pay for opinions on things is (in my opinion) rather over-the-top, and was the point of my prior post, and it doesn't take any conspiracy theory or mass hysteria to justify it being so. Respectfully...Mike
MIKE This is a useless thread that there is no purpose to patronize anyone in a useless thread Another good read is Lessigs work and Eric Raymonds work in this area, BTW Ruben
Please don't quote me until I'm done with my post. How many times do I have to tell you people. Will look up those authors. Think I've read something by Lessig (sp?), but the other is a new one by me. Thanks -- always like a though-provoking read.... Have fun...Mike
