Thanks Panzerman. Actually you should've name the Rottweiler "Sleipnir" as that was the name of a creature. Maybe "Odin", if small enough, could've have ridden him: at least for Halloween? Fortunately {tho unfortunately for me} the Barbarous Aureus with the Slipnir reverse isn't unique. There are at least two other pieces auctioned by Leu Numismatik, one in their Aurum Barbarorum collection part I (2019). This coin came from their Aurum Barbarorum collection part II and is the nicest of the three. Leu Numismatik gave me permission to reprint their article on the Aurum Barbarorum coinage and I'll provide links here: https://coinsandhistory.com/countries/Ancients_Rome/articles/Aurum-Barbarorum Collection Leu_4_p434-435_v1.pdf https://coinsandhistory.com/countries/Ancients_Rome/articles/Gallienus Alexandria Troas barbaric issue.pdf Actually they gave me permission for my website but I'll ask them now if okay for CT. I'm highly envious of your Honorius tremissis. I paid 1,200 euros for a worn common Pulchria tremissis 10 or more years ago from Gorny & Mosch. There is a famous Renaissance painting of Honorius feeding the pigeons which I have as a screensaver for Linux. While Honorius was a bad emperor due to negligence, so many bad things happened to the empire during his time that actually a history of his era would be very interesting.
