    J. G. I waited a long time for this coin after reading the book Septimius Severus, The African Emperor, by Anthony R. Birley :happy:. The portrait is impressive.

    Although all of your top ten are impressive, I particularly like the Celtic Veneti Stater. The composition is exceptional on both obverse and reverse.

    Septimius Severus sestertius is the winner for me followed closely by the Romanus IV gold coin. Congratulation !

    I will add my vote for the Veneti stater as well, with its incredible reverse. That is a piece of true Celtic art!

    Congrats on your top 10 @Al Kowsky !!! I'm partial to all of your big bronzes, but I think the postumus sestertius is my favourite piece! The Gordian III provincial is a close second favourite! Well done!

    A beautiful and eclectic haul of coins! My favorite is that wild and wonderful Veneti stater.
