My Top 10 Favorite Ancients

I find myself liking RR more, especially as I manage to move past the glut of Victory/biga types that are on the lower end of the spectrum. There are a few now on my "want list", and a couple of Imperatorial. Maybe it started with the Aretas Nabatean RR I bought a couple of years ago.

thanks for the countdown and sharing about the coins!! i really enjoyed reading each post. my fave coin was #7. funny how it could be low(er) on your list, but high on mine! just goes to show that each coin speaks differently to each person.

 

A great #1 ! This coin would nicely in any collection, it looks great. I still would like to get a nice RR denarius when I'm able too. Thanks for the thread too, was very enjoyable.

I would like to see a thread on republics. I really enjoy them myself but like AR greeks, they are pretty pricey so I tend to shy away from them. I have yet to get one on ebay due to their final bid results
