Ok, this was a much harder list to make, I have a lot to choose from. 10. my first of the year. Alexandria 9. Constans from Lyons. very hard to find. 8. Antioch 7. This one has a lot of silvering and a really high relief on the rev. Its also pretty heavy at 7.5 g. 6. One of my first non-ebay auction wins. Antioch 5. A very nice earlier issue from Antioch 4. A barbarous issue copying Amiens. 3. An unlisted variant(pearl and rosette diademed) 2. Cyzikus FH with very neat line work. 1. My favorite of the group, also the most worn. Another earlier issue from Antioch. The shield on the soldier is the only one I (and other FH collectors) have seen. A really neat spiral design.
Thanks all The only ones on the list that aren't really special (aside from looking nice) are 10, 8 and 6. My first list idea was just to pick the 'nicest' ones. This list is more accurate to which coins made me the happiest.
I believe that is the whole idea of 'hobby'. Imagine the nice gold coin you could buy with what you spend on a set of 2200 FH.
What a nice selection Nothing special to it, but it's the last FH I bought (last year it was) for its fabulous reverse Constantius II, AE2 Antioch mint, 1st officina D N CONSTANTIVS P F AVG, draped and pearl diademed bust right FEL TEMP RE PARATIO, fallen horseman, Gamma in field, ANA at exergue 4.88 gr Ref : RCV # 18171, Cohen # 46, RIC # 132, LRBC # 2623 Q
