I love me some free samples, LOL! Like the French and German issues, these were brought back from the war by one of my relatives who served, though it is unknown which one exactly, as three were deployed on the field of battle, while another served in the Coast Guard! I have not been able to figure out what year these were issued, but I am thinking possibly 1935...or perhaps the series was 1935, like the American series does not always match the date the note was printed. Would that make B044 the serial number?
