Singapore does have very very very expensive coins for example platinum zodiac coins struck in the early 90s which didn't last very long. They are relatively scarce and don't appear in the market very often. I missed my chance in buying one

 

Nice coin! Thanks for adding the explanation that these weren't circulating. I would have wondered why I didn't see any during my business trip to Singapore in 2002.
