I hear tell of places that take the donations and pretty much just trash them for lack of space. So it always is a good idea to find out if you can what that organization has done before. And many times those museums don&#039;t even want stuff they don&#039;t already have. My choice for when my dad passed, since these were items that were really esoteric in interest would be to either keep them (nope, didn&#039;t want to), keep them with idea of putting on ebay and seeing if someone else wanted them (didn&#039;t even want to keep them to do this, sorry), trash them (it was a thought), or gift them to a museum that conceivably might have a use for them or want to keep them.
