These PCGS shows give me an excuse to head to Vegas, in hopes of hitting the big one to fund my purchases! Of course that never happens. I usually do these trips solo, but this time my wife and youngest daughter were with me. Both get a kick out of pretty coins and some of the crazy price tags, but they leave the buying up to me. Both (along with me) enjoyed the great food spread provided by the show though!

Oh yeah, the show. I was there to submit a couple of coins for grading, look over items in the Legend auction and to pick up a coin or two for my collection. The show itself seemed fairly busy the times I was there (couple hours on Wednesday, an hour on Friday). I got to check out the Morgan toners from the Legend auction before the crowds got there and had a blast doing it. The mantra of seeing the coins in person always applies (especially with toned coins), if you get the chance to do it. There are some coins that got my attention in the catalog but were sort of meh in person, while others looked better in hand than the photo. For me, that star of the show was this one:

https://legendauctions.hibid.com/lot/26993498/-1-1882-s--ngc-ms66-gold-cac/?cpage=2&ref=catalog

I did end up winning a coin in this auction, which will be posted in a future thread. Overall, I had fun at this show and got to talk with various dealers and attendees, which you get more time to do at a smaller show. Meanwhile, here are the coins I picked up at the show:

This one called my name while looking thru the box. I've seen a handful of nickels in the past with this color, but not as vivid and full of luster as this one, graded PCGS MS-66:

Can't pass up a nice Morgan toner, especially one that will fit my eclipse clock toner set. This one qualifies as a 3:00, already have a 4, 6 and 7:00 pieces, plus my auction one will fit the noon slot. This piece grades PCGS MS-65:
