I want to bring an Irish Setter puppy into the house but I'm outnumbered. My lady and the female kitty would kill me first and give away the puppy. It's not fair.
Now this is a great thread. We had 6 dogs a while back. A german shepherd/golden Labrador mix, a rotweiler mix (I stole him out of a neighbors kennel. He was glad when he found out.), a pit bull mix, 2 cheweenies (Dachsund/chihuahua mix. One died when he was 15. They slept with me. A wire terrier. We live in the country down a dirt road. Someone (We know who.) dropped an Australian Shepherd mix and she was with another dog someone dropped off. It turned out to be a neighbor. We trie to find the shepherd a mix, but we fell in love with it. She now herds the chiweenie and the wire terrier. We have about 3/4 acre fenced in our back yard. I'll get a picture. She sleeps with my wife. It was fun when she was a puppy but now she takes my wife's bed and she comes over to mine. I agree with those that don't want to go to heaven if our dogs aren't there. I have a building in back that I made a theater out of and our cat that someone dropped off last Christmas. He was a small kitten. Took it to the Vet the next day. He told us that he would have died from exposure if we hadn't picked him up. I'm a sucker for animals, babies, and my beautiful 70 year old bride. She tolerates my coin purchases and collection and I don't say anything about her shopping.
Very cute. We had cats and dogs together while growing up. In my situation, we had full grown housecats at the time we introduced a puppy (first a Sheltie and then a Golden Retriever) into the home. The cats didn't like the puppy at first. But after puppy got curious and got too close, the cats would show it who's boss and pop it in the nose. It only took once or twice and the puppy found out early not to mess with the cats, more so, respect them because of their paw claws. After that, the puppy would respect the cats. Cat's started getting along great with the puppies after that and when the puppies became adults, they all got along just great together. I guess you could say that they all learned to respect each other and got along just fine.
His puppy eyes lol his brothers are the ones with the blue eyes. He's got brown. And all have docked tails.
Showed her. She made some kind of squawking sound and clapped her hands like an excited toddler. You see, Ladymarcovan and Victoria have been wanting a Border Collie or Aussie Shepherd-flavored pup for some time, and we are actually on the waiting list for an upcoming litter, I was told yesterday. They want another Dixie Dog. We lost our dear Dixie last year.
Forget about Ladymarcovan- that last picture made ME melt! I'm more of a cat person than a dog person, but I like the doggies, too.
Aawee!!!! Hi Dixie! ! You'll get another one!! This boy didn't want to sleep last night. He was playing tug-of-war with my shirt my cover. Pulling the cover off me and fell off the bed. Rolling around chewing my arm apart. But finally I learned to hide my whole body under the cover and he quit. Then I uncovered he went to sleep! Lol
