My new saxon penny of Edmund I

    Hi guys,

    thought id post this, new coin to my collection.

    Edmund's grandfather is Alfred the Great, I love anything to do with Alfred the great because he was just down the road from me!

    This coin dates from 936-946, I read that he was assassinated by a thief called Leofa.

    Spink 1107

    If anyone knows anymore about this guy please let me know!
