I thought I had started a thread about this but I can't find it (truth is, I don't know HOW to search for it). Anyway, since my Wantlist is VERY thin and expensive I wanted to have something to keep my interest up. I wandered through the Red Book and finally decided to work on an "Arrows at Date" Seated Liberty set. This includes SL coins with face values of: -- half dime -- dime -- quarter -- half dollar I decided I'd go for XF/AU coins. For me it's a good set to work on since I already had 9 in my type set. The Red Book lists 45 date/mm coins with the arrows. I immediately eliminated 7 because of catalog value: -- ALL five from the CC Mint -- one from the S Mint -- one rarer O Mint variety That left me with 38 to get for my set. I just BIN'ed three on eBay. When I get them that will bring my total up to 20 (over half way). It's now looking like I'll have to go to big shows to find most of the rest. I've already looked through Heritage, Great Collections and Stacks. They have some of the ones I need but the grades are way too high. Anyway, it keeps the numismatic juices flowing.
