My new ancient coin acquisition.

    Porcius Laeca - silver denarius of Roman Republic c. 119BC. - That was my very first republican coin many years ago. I wish you many , many more as well. nice coin.

    That's a beautiful example of a Roman Republic denarius, and a great way to start your journey into ancients. Welcome aboard!

    I have one, not as nice as yours. Mine features a very aggressive banker's mark that follows the contours of Roma's nose/lips and causes a bulge on the reverse:

    Looks quite similar to this one. (Lucius Sentius 101 BC) I was showing it to a local friend recently and he was just flabbergasted that I had such an ancient coin in such good condition.
